Mike was on his way to the bank to deposit his reward money for busting the two criminals when he saw it. He was about a block away from the bank, riding his bike past a TV shop. He stopped to glance at the screens in the window and noticed the news was on. He stopped to see what was going on in the world. It said: “BRAKING NEWS! THERE HAS BEEN A MASSIVE JAIL BREAK IN TETRA CITY!!! AT LEAST 40 HARD CORE MURDERERS ARE ON THE LOOSE! AND THE HIGH SECURITY MEGA VAULT CONAINING NEWLY CAUGHT SUPERTHEIVES RUFUS AND JESS WAS THE FIRST ALARM TO GO OFF!” he did not hear the hear the  rest, he was on his way home.

 

SLAM! “Uh-oh!” came Rufus’ voice through the garage. “He’s home!”

“SHHHHHHH, you dope!”

“SHH yourself!”

“Hello?” The jumped simultaneously. “Who’s there?”

Jess began to back up instinctively. He knocked down a shield, which hit the ground noisily. They heard footsteps growing louder down the stairs.

 

Mike opened the door and it all went black.
